My "Why"

When I first started to dip my toe in the beauty industry back in 2019 with my best friend, I never imagined that it would take me as far as it has. I graduated from Ohio State in 2018 with a Communications/Marketing degree and I knew pretty much right away that I didn’t want to work in the corporate world, grinding from 8–5 just to buy some rich guy another lake house. Screw that!

I started by just helping my best friend with makeup on a couple of weddings after sarcastically saying that I could do it, and she immediately believed in me more than I ever did and threw me into this journey head first. I quickly realized how much I loved making other people fall in love with seeing themselves in the mirror.

For years this was something I struggled with myself, until the day I finally decided to be a “pretty girl” and I began a self-care journey to find my own beauty. Now that I’m further along in that personal journey, there’s nothing I want more than to bring as many of you along with me as I can!

I always say the first step to loving your makeup is loving the face underneath. We all have such unique beauty, and it breaks my heart that society raises up some features over others. We are ALL beautiful, and your features are what make you uniquely you!

My goal when you sit in my chair is to get you to love yourself just as much when you’re glammed up as you are when you’re glammed down. Being a “pretty girl” is a (genderless) state of mind, not a physical description.
